The Good Guys, BCF and Planet Fitness are among the first retail names secured for a new large format retail centre at Noarlunga Centre.

Builder FDC recently commenced construction of the Noarlunga Heights Super Centre at the former Bunnings site on Beach Rd, and the project is on track for completion in October this year.

It will feature 12,096sqm of retail space.

McGees large format retail director Dallas Sears, who’s managing the leasing campaign on behalf of ASX-listed BWP Trust, said another national retailer was close to signing on for the development, leaving one available tenancy.

“Noarlunga Heights Super Centre offers an 8.5m‑high building with excellent signage opportunities in a true standout location, right at the Noarlunga exit of the Southern Expressway,” she said.

“The combination of high visibility and passing traffic make for an excellent chance of a strong brand presence, which has attracted broad range of prominent retailers.

“Both BCF and The Good Guys are relocating from smaller tenancies in the same area into larger spaces in this development, reflecting confidence in the project itself, as well as the growth trajectory of the area.”

The Good Guys and BCF each took tenancies of around 2500sqm, while Planet Fitness will be moving into a 2000sq m space.

The site is part of a broader retail precinct near Colonnades Shopping Centre.

Ms Sears said the final tenancy was “incredibly versatile”.

“Having brands like BCF, The Good Guys, and Planet Fitness commit to this project speaks volumes about the confidence major national retailers have in Adelaide’s large format retail sector right now,” she said.

“We’ve received inquiries from a broad mix of high-profile potential tenants.”
