Aussie shoppers can now step into a subzero snow cave or cast lures past live barramundi at Anaconda’s record-breaking new flagship store.

Anaconda Adventure HQ, the largest outdoor adventure store in the country at a whopping 6,000 sqm officially opened today in southeast Queensland.

The store, in Brisbane’s north, forms part of a $92m retail precinct and signals a bold shift away from traditional transactional retail towards experience-led shopping.

Test you snow gear in a snow-filled alpine environment, watch live fishing demonstrations to exploring a life-size marina and camping environments, customers are invited to experience the outdoors rather than simply shop for it.

Visitors can test products, develop new skills and immerse themselves in authentic outdoor experiences before they even leave the store.

Anaconda CEO Chris Lude said the concept store represented much more than traditional shopping.

“Anaconda Adventure HQ has been built to let people experience, test and learn about the outdoors before they even leave the store,” said Mr Lude.

“Whether you’re planning your first camping trip, a family holiday, a fishing adventure, or a ski trip, this destination is designed to inspire and educate.

“We want Anaconda Adventure HQ to be just as exciting as getting out there and having the adventure itself.”

The store has created more than 50 new jobs for the local community.

“Investing in Southeast Queensland and bringing a flagship of this size to Moreton Bay area is hugely exciting for us, and we hope it inspires even more outdoor adventures in the region and beyond,” said Spotlight Group Holdings executive deputy chairman Zac Fried.

The state-of-the-art development was built by leading Queensland construction group McNab.
